Mr J. M. Hyams, of Auckland, returned'irom a trip by the Aorangi yesterday. ■ • Mr. Cyril Ward, son of the Prime Minister, arrived from South by the Limited express. Mr. J. B. MacEwan, dairy merchant, of Wellington, returned from a trip abroad by the Aorangi. Mr. P. Fraser, M.P. for Wellington Central, wae a passenger from the South' by the Limited this. morning. Mr. Justice and Mrs. J. R. Reed returned from abroad this morning by. the Rangitata, and are at Hotel Cargen.

Mr James Findlay, general manager of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line in New Zealand, arrived by the Limited express this morning. Mr. and Mrs. P. Coyle, Mr. G.- E. Robertson (Wellington), Mr. J. Donald (Wanganui), Mr. and Mrs. A. Clavington (Te Kuiti), Mr. and Mrs. G. F. O'Rourke (Palmerston North) are at Hotel Cargen. Sir James Mills, who has been resident in London for time, returned to New Zealand by the Rangitata this morning, and intends to stay two months in the country. He is at Hotel Cargen.

Mr. H. Horton, of Auckland, who has been on a visit to London, was a passenger by the Rangitata frfom London this morning. He was accompanied by Mrs. Horton, and they are at Hotel Cargen.

Mr. F. E. Drake (Christchurch), Mr. W. A. Scott (Hamilton), Mr. H. E. Chapman (New Plymouth), Mr. Robertson, Mr. A. Sommerville (Rotorua), Mr. F. Ansell (Wellington) are at the Albert Hotel.

Among those at the Commercial Hotel are: Mr. and Mrs. Crosbie (Tiinaru), Mr. M. G. Richards, Mr. G. Carey, Mr. A. J. Keogh (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. Pearson (Feilding), Mr. H. Morse (Cambridge, Mr. G. S. Hoskings (Christchurch).

, Mr. J. A. C. Bond, New Zealand superintendent for the New Zealand Shipping Co., with headquarters at Wellington, was a passenger by the Rangitata from London this morning.

Mr. H. L. E. Priestman, who has been appointed assistant -Trade Commissioner in New Zealand to Mr. CM. Croft. Canadian Trade Commissioner, arrived by the Aorangi from Vancouver yesterday. \ :

Mr. W. A. James, New Zealand Government representative at Vancouver, was a passenger by the Aorangi to Auckland. Mr. James is making his first visit to New Zealand ' after 25 years' residence in Vancouver.

Impressed with New Zealand scenic attractions, Mr. W, H. Van Zwoll is making a return visit. He came to the Dominion three- years'ago on : a Wheeler Pacific tour. He is from Chicago, and intends to experience some of the delights of a visit to Milford Sound.

Mr. J. H. McDonald, chairman of the Commission of British Columbia Lumbermen, and Mr. T. T. Gadd, Mr. J. C. Robson, and Mr. L. R. Andrews, members of the commission, are through passengers by the Aorangi to Sydney. commission will visit New Zealand at a later date.

Mr. H. A. Seed, secretary of.the new\ - Zealand Timber Merchants' Association,. Wellington, arrived in Auckland . this, morning to* confer with the commission; of British Columbia Lumbermen, who are through passengers to Sydney by the' . Aorangi. Major and Mrs. A.
