The Amiiiistrator, Mr. S. S. Allen, has officially advised that the casualties, as far. as is known.arc: —;, . Police. Killed, 1. 'Wounded, C; none seriously. <* ' . Samoans. Killed (including- Tamasesc and others who died of wounds) 8. s - Wounded (treated in hospital) 12. From 1500 to of the Mail -paraded, on Saturday, and. about 300' took part in the attack on the police. It lasted only, a, : few minutes. Afterwards the , v Mau forces hurried off to Vaimoso. The Mau forces have- now. dispersed," and no further incidents are expected. A full meeting of Cabinet has been called for to-morrow morning ,to consider the- trouble. Sir Joseph Ward stated to-day'that the'loss of life as the result of the disturbance was greatly to be deplored, but the' information to hand showed conclusively that the police had acted witii great forbearance, and that, firearms were ueed only as a last resort.
