MR. WILLIAM ADAMS.
(By Telegraph.—OTn Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Friday. Mr. William Adams, a pioneer of Pukekohi and Puni, is dead, aged 75. years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adams, and with them he came to Xew Zealand as a member o2 a party from the Cape which settled on the northern side of what is now Pukekohe. As a young man Mr. Adams was engaged felling bush and other pioneering y/ork in Pukekohe and nearby districts. After marriage he settled at Puni where he made a farm from land covered with bush. He lived at Puni for about 30 years and retired about 15 years ago. He was a member of the Pukekohe Mounted Rifle Volunteers for 36 years, and held long-service medals. He leaves a widow, three sons and three daughters, and there are 12 grandchildren.
