KUMEU NEWS.
"Father Xmas" paid a visit to Kumeu Hall on Friday evening, and delighted the hearts of 175 children. The hall was prettily decorated with red streamers and real holly, and the Christmas tree lit with electric lights was loaded with presents and gay balloons. Awaiting the arrival of Santa- Clans items were rendered by members of Huapai school, and the part singing especially was much appreciated by the parents ad friends. Supper was served to all the guests, and drinks, ice creams and sweets were much enjoyed by the children. The committee in charge of the 'Christmas party comprised Mrs R. P. Dane. Mrs. R. Gates, Mrs. W. Horsman, Mrs A. Addison, Miss E Branrbly and Miss Peggy Shuttleworth.
