At the conclusion of the principal frames on the Stanley preen on -Saturday afternoon Mr. Jones, the president, called the members together to convey to Mr. Hindman their appreciation of the valuable services he has rendered to the club as green superintendent during the last few years. In making thn presentation of. a handsome watch Mr. Jones expressed the good feeling in- which Mr. Hindman was held as a valued adherent of the club. Mr. Hirulmac thanked those present for tile kind thoughts which prompted them to think ot him in such a handsome manner,, and ='aid he would long cherish the gift. Mr. Jones also took the opportunity of presenting to Mr. Purser the silver' cup which he won in fhe billaxds -tournament carried on prior to the commencement of the bowling season. The president referred to the active interest ' Mr. Purser tak';s in niauy branches of snort, and congratulated him on his success after undergoing several keeu contests. A trophy which took the form of a fountain pen and pencil was also presented ti Mr. Purser. Mr. Bell, the caretaker, was also the recipient of. a purse of silver in recognition of the care which he aways displays iiT the best interests of the club. Mrs. Bell, who
