AUCKLAND TOURISTS.
MP. E. C. BEALE'S SELECTION.
CHANCE FOR IF.TR COLTS.
Following is the Auckland touring team which left for the South with Mr. E. C. Bealc this morning:—R. C. Aickin (Eden), G. Langton (Eden), G. L, Lawrio (Eden), T. Lyon (Y.SLC.A.), A. Owen (Gisbonie), L. B. Schnauer (University), W. V. E. Smith (North Shore), E. Stiekland (South Auckland), E. N. Vipontl (Rodney), H. G. Vivian (Mount Albert Grammar -School), J. D. Owen is an all-rounder, while Stickland is regarded by many as the best wicketkeeper in the Auckland province with the exception of Dick Eowntrce. He is an Englishman and is a very fair batsman. Yiponcl is the well known Rodney all-rounder, whose play has been outstanding in the last couple of seasons. Lewis and Vivian are the captains of the King's College and Mount Albert Grammar School elevens respectively. Both players have shown the benefit they received from the coaching of E. H. Bowley and J. Langriclge, and the present coach, A. P. Wensley, has a high opinion of their abilities.
The selection should give general satisfaction throughout the province, as three outside associations, North Auckland, South Auckland and Poverty Bay are represented.
TWELFTH PLAYER SELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PDTARURU; Saturday. P. Wilkes, a member oli the Pulaniru Cricket Club, has accepted an invitation to join Mr. Beale's Auckland eleven in a tour of the'*South Island.
