PAPATOETOE BEATS HOWICK,
Papatoetoe Bowling Club defeated Howick in games played yesterday on the Papatoetoe green for the Gilmour Cup. During the first round of play the weather was favourable, but the second round was interrupted several times by rain. Two rounds of 15 heads were played, the results with Papatoetoe names first, being as follows:— First Bound.—R. McCullough, Lucena, V.. T. S. Wilson, Knight 20, v. Mrlntyre, Paton, Gandy, Beckett 10; Gubb, .i>. McCullough, T. K. Smytheman, Bayliss 13, v. Roaden Selby, Bates, Johnson IJ. Sttfond Eound.-Knight 18, v. Johnson 11; Bayliss 10, v. Beckett 14. Totals: Papatoetoe 67, Howick 47.
PUBLIC SERVICE PAIRS.
The semi-final of the Public Service pairs tournament played at Remuera yesterday, resulted as follows :—Paton. Hook (Folice) ISiv Waters, Wyatt (Telegraph) 13. The final resulted in a win for Paton and Hook who defeated MacKune and Maher <Lands and Survey), by 24 to 19.
