CHRISTMAS ARRANGEMENTS
■ With only four and. a half days left in Which to do Christmas shopping, gift buyers will be glad of the late night tomorrow.
Shops will be open until 10 o'clock on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, but will not observe the usual late night in those weeks. On Friday, December 27, and Friday, January 3; the closing hour will be 5.30 or 6 p.m., according to the award of the particular business. .■ Shop holidays will be December 25 and 20 ; and January 1 and 2, with the usual Saturday half-hoiiday.
, Law offices will be closed from Tilesday, December 24, to Tuesday, January 8; both days inclusive. The Auckland Stock Exchange shuts from Saturday, December 21, until Thursday, January 9, inclusive. Banks will be closed for three days next week; December 25, 2(5 and 27. In the New Year they will also be closed on January 1 and 2.
