NATIVE MINISTER.
CONFERENCE WITH MANIAPOTOS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, Tmesday. The Native Minister, Sir Apirana Ngata, arrived from Wellington to-day and conferred with a large gathering of the Maniapoto tribe at the native pa. The matters discussed were the.recommendations made in the report of the Native Land Commission concerning leases in the King Country. Judge CE. MacCormick was present for the purpose of giving first-hand information. The Minister, when interviewed, said there was no information for the Press regarding his visit.
