ROSKILL WATER SUPPLY.
COST OF RETICULATION. ESTIMATE BY ENGINEER. Further to his previous reports, Mr. J. Dawson, C.E., advised the Mount Roskill Road Board last night that he estimated the cost of reticulating several roads with 4in castiron pipes, British specification, class C, complete with necessary equipment, as follows:—Ridge Road from Cape Horn Road to White Swan Road, £1496; Halsey Drive from Ridge Road, the whole length, £2500; Richardson Road from Dominion Road to the school, £715; Arkell Road from Dominion Road to Ridge Road, £1048; total, £5759. The clerk is to submit these figures to the ratepayers in this area, with an estimate of the cost in rates to each of them to provide for interest and sinking fund.
