ROSE IN SERIOUS TRAINING,
OUT FOR THREE-MILE RECORD
(By Telegrapb.-iSpecial to " Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Ori January 11, Randolph Rose, who is now specially training for the event, will endeavour to break his own Australian arid New" Zealand record for three miles.
The present record of 14m 29 l-Os was established on the Basin Reserve on March 2ti, 1029, and Rose's next effort will be Over the same track. Rose is •now farming at Ihglewciod. J. T.
