CITIZENS' FAREWELL
I*6 THEIR EXCELLENCIES. TOWN HALL GATHERING. Arrangements have been completed for tlio public farewell which is to be tendered in Auckland to the Governor-Gen-eral, Sir Charles Fe'rgussou, and Lady Alice Fergussoh, before their departure for England. The fratherihg will take place in the Town Hall on the evening of Saturday, January 4, and it will be open to citizens. The Mayor; Mr; George Baildon, stated to-day that an address would be presented to his Excellency, expressing the high regard in which he and Lady Alice Fergussoh were held by the citizens of Auckland. The address would be enclosed ill a cabinet of New Zealand wood with emblems of special application to the Dominion. It is expected there will be a large attendance of the public. A special musical programme will include items bv the City Organist and the Municipal Choir, as well as by Auckland soloists. Their Excellencies .will not be iii Auckland again before their departure for England. ,
