Trial Cricket Match In Australia. BRADMAN IS BRILLIANT. SYDNEY, December 9. The Test trial cricket match was continued to-day in hot weather. There were 7000 spectators. Ryder's team had made 603 in the first innings, and Woodfull's team had made 185 for four wickets on Saturday. Woodfull's team to-day took the total to 309. Bradman made 124, Rigg 73, Burrows 7, Ellis 4, Blackie 0, Hornibrook 2, Wall 0 not out. There were 17 extras. Grimmett took three wickets for 08, i Oxenham five for 42, Whitfield one for ( 46, Alexander one for 71. ] Woodfull's team followed, on and had made 341 for two wickets when stumps , were drawn. Bradman made 205 not , out, Kippax 58 not out, Woodfull 43, and Fairfax 26. There were nine j extras. It was Bradman's day, in the opinion , of the crowd. In the first innings he J • carried his Saturday score to 124. When he realised that the first innings would ' shortly end he took undue risks, hitting every ball hard. He was finally ' caught in the simplest manner. He and Rigg distinguished themselves. Ryder sent Woodfull's men, in again. The opening pair were Bradman and Woodfull again. Bradman was seen in the merriest mood. He persistently drove hard and gracefully, turning the ball to the leg boundary. He never once looked like getting out. He was nothing short of brilliant, and received a flattering ovation from the spectators. Oxenham bowled singularly well. He . really was the only man who troubled Bradman. Whitfield bowled with a nice length, and was impressive. Grimmett was always dangerous, but Alexander as a bowler was not troublesome.
