Sunderland House Acqi lired For Ambassador. ARRIVAL IN LONDON BOON. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 9. Sunderland House, one of 11 le most palatial mansions in the Westi End of London, has been acquired by tlx: Soviet Government as the official resi tj.ence of M. Sokolnikoff, the recently appointed Ambassador to Great Britain, who is expected in London this week. As King George will be in residence at Buckingham Palace for the next ten days it is probable that M. SoV.olnikoff will present his credentials th<sre early next week, possibly simultaneoiiisly with the presentation of his credei 1 tials by Sir Esmond Ovey, the new British Ambassador to Moscow, to thiis Soviet Government. Sir Esmond was to have lef)6 London en route for Moscow on Saturday, but the cancellation of the Channel steamer services, owing to the storm, ne ciassitated a postponement of his start.
