MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED.
i « CAPSIZE NEAR OKAIHAU. COMPANION SLIGHTLY HURT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) KAIKOHE, Monday. Clarence Edwin Molyneux, aged 54, ' who was employed on the Public Works staff at Okaihau, was killed on Satur- ; day. Accompanied by Mr. A. J. Mackie, J who is also employed on the Public Works staff at Okaihau, Mr. Molyneux was returning home at about six o'clock [ from Kaikohe, on his motor cycle, Mr. j Mackie being in the sidecar. About j four miles from Okaihau the machine skidded in loose metal and overturned, 1 Mr. Mackie was thrown clear and received only facial injuries, -which did j not necessitate his removal to hospital, but Mr. Molyneux was pinned underneath the sidecar. Death was instan- ! taneous. '■ An inquest was held at Ohaeawai yes--1 terday, when a verdict of accidental death was returned. Mr. Molyneux was a returned soldier and it is understood his next-of-kin , resides in England.
