- ■ RACING AT WOODVILLE. TO-MORROW'S PROGRAMME. GOOD FIELDS ENGAGED. • RECENT FORM DISCUSSED. (By- Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") . WELLINGTON, this day. The'track at Woodville should be perfect for the summer meeting, which opens to-morrow and -will conclude on Thursday. The hurdlers engaged in the Mangaatua Handicap are not a good lot, and form points to Fine Acre. He has been sore lately, but should be able to hit out freely on the Woodville turf. Delude has displayed fair form, and Aurora Borealis showed up well during the last jumping season, and if at all forward would be dangerous. Mixed Heather, Wilmoreana and Vinella look the most likely of the others engaged. The best backed may be FINE ACRE DELUDE. * Recent form in the Trial Plate points to Grattus, Tigrano, Arrowzone and Grecian. Platina, from the Foruell stable, however, Is so well spoken of that she may be superior class. The stable does not often patronise a meeting with horses that have no prospects. Most money may go on TIGRANO GRATTUS. The Bolton. Handicap field represents even quality. Spearmiss will be suited by the long straight and should make a good showing, while Mountain Heath s running at Levin will attract a lot ot support. Merry Damon, Talisker, Merry Mint and Blimp all ran creditably at Feilding.' The favourites may be SPEARMISS ' i MOUNTAIN HEATH. There is a big field in the Mangarawa Handicap. Knightlike shaped fairly well at Feilding, but was soundly beaten. Royal Parade's Trentham and Ricearton running will ensure him support. Glenartney has not raced since Marton, but he showed a lot of pace there on a soft track. Several of the others have form, but when analysed superior class is represented by ■ ROYAL PARADE GLENARTNEY. Star Stranger's presence in the Oete Handicap need hardly be taken seriously, as he cannot begin flat footed with sprinters. Kaihoro, Admiral Drake and Atholspear are the three that take the eye. Veronese looks the likely lightweight, but the long straight.: may trouble her. The public may give most support to ADMIRAL DRAKE ATHOLSPEAR. Cylinder should be the favourite for the Nursery Handicap. He carried 8.4 when he ran second atFeildjng, so is not badly handicapped- amongsty practically

tlie same class. .Kahikatoa was unlucky at Feilding. Princess Betty and Nimble have tlie best form of others. The most fancied may be CYLINDER PRINCESS BETTY. There is a lot of form to be summed up in the Whariti Hack Handicap. Count Palatine, Thrift, Austerity, Royal Black, Chopin, Masher, Royal Opera and Goldlike have all to be considered. Thrift, with a strong horseman up, should do better than at Otaki. Austerity and Count Palatine should also go well. The favourite selections may be THRIFT COUNT PALATINE. Toxeuma has a big weight in the concluding event, the Borough Handicap, but he is good class and carries it well. Rameses and Maui, on, form, look th'i most likely of the others. The best backed may be TOXEUMA. RAMESES. The acceptances are:— MANGAATUA HURDLES of ISOsovs. One mile and a half.
