SYDENHAM CONFLAGRATION.
BOOT STORE AND FACTORY. DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £3000. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Fire in the boot store and repairing factory of C. D. Gougli and Sons, Colombo Street, Sydenham, early this morning, caused damage estimated at £3000,. in* eluding loss of plant. It was an ol wooden building. The total insurance was £2500 in the Northern Assurance Company. Brick walls on adjoining houses pievented the conflagration extending# though the occupants had to evacua e them owing to intense heat.
