SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.
Spiritualistic Manifestations Manufactured. NO WORD FROM OTHER. WORLD. LOXDOX, December 4. The opinion that so-called spiritualistic manifestations, which at present are the centre of a controversy as the outcome of seances given by the medium Schneider, are the effect of the workings of man's subconscious mind, is argued by Dr. Bernard Hollander. . "When a man is murdered and the culprit is not found," said Dr. Hollander, "why does not the victim's ghost appear and give the information to his mourning relatives? If there are spirits, and any love of humanity in the other world, "their manifestations should not require the intervention of uneducated professional mediums, together with their commonplace interpretations." Dr. Hollander asserted that not a single message had been received from the other world which would throw light on any of the great problems affecting humanity.
