£4 3/6 For Standard Family Of Three. THEN 5/ EACH CHILD. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The New South Wales State Government's basic wage decision was announced by the Premier, Mr. T. E. Bavin, in the Assembly. Mr. Bavin said that it was proposed to adopt the standard of an average family of man, wife and one child. He anticipated that the basic wage would be fixed at £4 3/6 with an allowance of 5/ for each child after the first.
