Awful Slum Conditions In Manchester. SEVEN IN ONE BED. (Received 0 a.m.) LONDON, December 3. Remarkable disclosures regarding conditions in the poor quarters of Manchester were made at an inquiry concerning the death of a baby girl four months old. The evidence showed that the father and six children, two boys aged 15 and five, three girls, of 10, eight and six, together with a baby, slept in one bed. The baby was smothered by the bed clothes.
