LEAVING NEW ZEALAND.

| CHAMPION SWIMMER. CAMERON TO LIVE IN SYDNEY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! WELLINGTON, this day. W. ("Billy") Cameron, the well-known champion. New Zealand swimmer, will leave New Zealand early in January, 1930, to take up a position in Sydney as sales manager for a firm of sports outfitters. The work being congenial, Cameron intends making his home in Sydney.

It is the champion's intention to swim for the East Sydney Amateur Swimming Club. A. Watson, another well-known ex-Wellingtonian, also swims for this club, and last year came second in the New South Wales 150 yards backstroke championship.

There is every possibility that Cameron will participate in the 1930 New South Wales championships. He is the best swimmer over 100 yards New Zealand lias produced for many years. His best time for the distance is 55 4-ss, which is just 3 4-5s slower than Johnny .Veismoiler's world's record. i
