. The Onehunea Pigeon Club flew a race s from Hunterville on Saturday in dull and e showery weather. The winning bird did 1 the distance of 215 miles in 7 hours 27 s minutes. Results :— i Mr. A. Langton's b c p h Anomaly, e S6o.4yds per minute 1 Mr. W. Sargent's b'.k c Moonbeam,.. r 860.3 yds 2 Messrs. Langton Bros.' b c h Royal ,[ Sovereign, 858 yds 3 f Also flew : Mr. J. Wallace's kpc Crash, i 856.6yd5; Mr. T. Collins' bird, 856.4yd5; - Mr. N. Paddy's bird, 845 yds; Mr. F. Glass' bird, 844 yds; Messrs. Wilson and Sons' bird, 842 yds; Mr. W. K. Larking was disqualified for a faulty clock. The week before the club flew their flock championship from Christchurch (473 1 miles). Liberated at 5.57 a.m. on Satur- ; day, the first two birds arrived at Mr. Wal- ■ lace's loft at 6.6 p.m. on Sunday.
