CHANGES IN CENSUS PAPER

VANCOUVER, October 4,
The growth of Canada's national status will be strikingly shown at the next Dominion census in 1931, when Canadian nationality will be recognised for the first time. Hitherto the census has classed all subjects according to the country of their origin. In the coming census, to stai't on June 1, 1931, Canadians will be listed as all those who were born in Canada, all other subjects who have lived in Canada long enough to acquire domicile in this country and all persons naturalised, including children. Questions for the census are now being prepared by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics at Ottawa. A separate census will be taken of domestic love stock and poultry.
