M.C.C. TEAM.

ON A STICKY WICKET

Bowley The Hero Of The Opening Match.

SIDE OUT FOR 191 RUNS

(United P.A.-Electric Telegraph-Copyright)

PERTH, November 1. The English cricketers continued their first innings to-day -against Western Australia, -who had made 185. The Englishmen had made 25 yesterday for no wickets. The weather was cloudy with drizzling showers, and there was only a fair attendance. It was a bowler's wicket for the earlier portion of the play. Duleepsinhji's appearance was cheered, but a sensation was caused when he was clean bowled by a yorker for one run. The hero of the day was Bowley, who in spite of a painfully injured hand, doggedly saved his side. The Englishmen had lost six wickets for 58 runs, but the improving wicket aided the batting.
