GIRLS' SPORTS.

MEETING- ON SATURDAY.

FINE PROGRAMME ARRANGED

A fine programme has been arranged by the Auckland Girls' Athletic Association for their fourth annual sports meeting to be held at Blandford Park on Saturday. With few exceptions the team games are new and should create much interest. A novelty motor race should be most amusing. The competi-' tor wears two number plates, a pennant or mascot on her head, sounds a horn with one hand and bowls a tyre with the other. Competition in all events is likely to be very keen and the present holders of the "Herald" Cup will have to look to their laurels. This year's drill display is expected to be better than ever. The Swedish drill, rhythmic movements, and dancing should gratify all who are interested in correct physical training for girls. The proceeds will be devoted to .the upkeep of the Girls' Sports Ground at Remuera.
