FIRE BRIGADE HONOURS.
PRESENTATION OF MEDALS. CENTRAL BRIGADE CEREMONY. The annual presentation of medals and certificates of the Auckland Central Fire Brigade, at the station, Pitt Street, has been held. Superintendent W. L. "Wilson presided over a large attendance of members, representatives of other brigades, and friends. Among those present were Mr. J. J. Kingston, chairman of the Auckland Fire Board, and Mr. J. B. Paterson, a member of the board. Honours were presented by Mr. Kingston. Medals and certificates were presented as follows: — Certificates for Three Years' Service — Firemen A. Hellreigel. L. Rogerson, C. Reid, J. Maughan, W. Varnham, M. Pierce, C. Fearon, P. Slines, R. Hall and T. Davis. United Fire Brigades' Association's Medal for Five Years' Service—Firemen A. Barnett, W. Sykes, J. Taylor and Driver D. Glennon. Auckland Fire Board's Medal, for Five Years' Service. —Fireman W. Sykes and Driver D. Glennon. U.F.B.A. Gold Star.—Fireman A. Sanda 11 (2") years). U.F.B.A. Gold Bar.—Fireman W. Williamson (41 years). U.F.B.A. Bars for Two Years' Service. —Deputy-Superintendent G. W. Avenell (17 years), Foreman L. Emslie (17 years), Foreman E. Herring (13 years), Third Officer C. Maguire (13 years), Foreman R. McKay (0 years), Fireman D. Kelleher, sen. (15 years), Driver C. Harper (21 years), Firemen W. McGregor (15 years), J. Buckley (10 years), G. Sanderson (fl years), W. Young (9 years), F. Neale (7 years), L. Henderson (In years), X. Williamson (13 years) and P. Healv (9 years).
