A BOYHOOD INCIDENT.
They were raiding a certain applelr«» in a certain shady, garden near Predappio, in Italy.
Benito Mussolini was the leader of the group of boys, and he it was who caihe swiftly to the rescue of the small Ix>y fe the tree. -
The owner of the orchard had come upon the young thieves unawares, and enraged, he fired a gun, wounding the climber in the leg. ° "All the other boys ran off quickly" says Mussolini, "so I carried the hero home, and then set out to punish thfeai severely for their desertion."
