CREDIT ABROAD.
INJURY TO AUSTRALIA,
SYDNEY, October 28.
Mr. E. G. Theodore, Federal Treasurer, complains that somebody is going out of his way to injure Australia's credit abroad. Since the advent of the Labour Ministry there had been a certain amount of "knocking" at home and abroad which was monstrously mean and unpatriotic.
However, said Mr. Theodore, he was pleased to say there had been a sharp recovery in Australian stocks since it was discovered that the Australian Government was both sane and practical.
