RADIO EXHIBITION.
OPENS TO-MORROW EVENING.
COMPREHENSIVE DISPLAY.
The Radio Exhibition, to be held in the Auckland Town Hall will be opened to-morrow evening by the Minister of Posts and Telegraphs (the Hon. <T. 13. Donald), who will speak from Wellington. Among the speakers at the Auckland end will he the Mayor (Mr. Georgo Baiklon) and the chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board (Mr. W. J. Holdswortli). Appropriately enough the opening will be broadcast from IYA. Since the early days oi the pagtime great strides have been made and some of the more modern apparatus is a marvel of simplicity and ingenuity. The radio wholesalers in the trade have arranged a very representative exhibition, and will occupy sixteen stalls to show the very latest inventions and "gadgets" which are so confusing to the man in the street but are the joy of the hearts of the enthusiastic listener-in. There will bo among other things a demonstration of short-wave transmitting and receiving by the Xew Zealand Association.of Amateur Radio Transmitters. The exhibition will be open for three days, and cach evening there will be a demonstration of relaying from a temporary broadcasting studio, the programme from IYA being used for the demonstration.
