SECTION WINNERS DECIDED,

Three more rounds in the Carlton Club's open Labour Day tournament •were played yesterday afternoon. At the conclusion of the four rounds, games of five heads were played to determine the section winners.

The draw for the semi-final games is as follows: Y~eo, Chambers, Roylance, Wakerley (Rocky Nook), v. Bates, Elliott, Turner, H. Clarke (Carlton); Lamb, Bruce, George, de Launay (Epsom), v. McKay, Brittain, Josey, Fookes (Carlton). Both the semi-final games and the final will be played on Saturday afternoon at the Carlton green, commencing at a quarter to two. Taylor, Gratten and Richmond, and Penn, J, Harrison, Parsons and Blakey tied witi four wins and one loss each, Richmond winning the play-off by 7 to 5.- The final will be played later. TOURNEY AT GREY LYNN. Despite the rain in the early morning a very successful tournament was held at Grey Lynn. The A section was won by a team skipped by W. Liversidge wlth v 3 wins. In the B section Caddy and Tonge' tied with 3 wins, but in the play-off paddy was successful. The' final between Liversidge and Caddy will be played on Saturday.

MOUNT ALBERT TOURNAMENT. In the Mount Albert Club's Labour Day tournament yesterday the teams skipped by Milner, J. Thomas and B. Thomas, with four -wins each, reached the finals. Milne then beat E. Thomas and later conquered J. Thomas, to win the trophies. J. Thomas' team, as runners up, were also presented -with prizes by Mr. R. J.

Alley, vice-president.

PAPATOETOE PAIRS CONTEST. A progressive pairs match was played ai Papatoetoe yesterday. Rnwnsley was th( most successful skip, and Trimble the most successful lead. Hardley mentioned that as his brother, Mr. Walter Hardley, now occupied the position of president of the club, there had been three brothers: who at different times had occupied the saints' office.
