The weather was fine for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. All the fast work was done on the course proper with the poles about sixty feet out The No. 3 grass and the two-year-old tracks were also available. The going was good. Course Proper. The first to work were King Emerald, Thursby and Eager Rose. The two firstmentioned jumped away at the mile post, and Eager Rose joined them at the iivefurlolig peg. King Emerald and Eager Rose were together at the finish, several lengths in front of Thursby. King Emeratd traversed the mile in 1.49 3-5, the last five furlongs taking 1.10 1-5. Clarus and Alloy were timed to run six furlongs in 1.24. They finished together. Sleepy Sol was not doing his best to beat Adjuster over a round which took 2.20 2-5. Sleepy Sol could have done better. Brampton was going easier than Sala-. mander at the end of half a mile run in 50 l-ss. Tetrachate showed to more advantage than Praetor while running five furlong 3 in 1.8 3-5. Patutahi and Good Idea were on terms at the finish of four furlongs in 575. Corinax was going easily at the end of a mile over which he beat Palmares by a length in 1.53 1-5. Gemliglit, on the inside, was a shade better than Red Lion over five furlongs in 1.8 2-5. Respirator strode over a similar journey in 1.11 1-5. Golden Wedding jumped off at the seven furlong post, and Wild Country joined her at the five. Golden Wedding was doing best at the finish after running the full distance in 1.36 1-5. Spring Song and British Princess were timed to run three furlongs in 39 3-ss. °Bizarro, with Diamond Queen to assist him over the last four furlongs, cove.-d five furlongs in 1.10 1-5. After Breakfast. Good Boy reeled off a six-furlong task 4 in 1.24. Roman Pearl gave Spring Abbey a start, and beat him over live furlongs in 1.8 1-5. Gay Cockade Avas going better than Measurer while running five furlongs in 1.7 2-5. This was the best of the morn- j ing over the distance. Luxurious was a shade better than Master Clements at the end of five furlongs which took 1.8. Tremetus, Thcspis and Great Emblem! were in that order at the finish of three furlongs in 39 4-ss. No. 3 Grass. Bombarder ran six furlongs in 1.19 4-5, and War Officer did strong work over a similar journey, but was not after time. Neil and Tambourine were on terms at the finish of half a mile in 555, and Ivawainga ran an easy five furlongs in 1.12 2-5. Cynthia N. completed a round in 1.48 ' Kaireta and Bonny Day were given a similar task, and ran the last seven furlongs in 1.42. The Two-year-old Track. Hampton Park worked freely over a mile, but was not after time. Puriri Park was going better than Kairangipai, while running three furlongs in 39 l-ss. Silene reeled off three furlongs in 37 3-ss. ' On the Sand. Sir Archie accomplished a seven-fur-long task in 1.35 2-5. The Jumpers. Master Clements (McGregor) and Bob Amans (Husband) cleared two schooling hurdles safely. The latter continued on and negotiated four more. He hit the fifth hurdle hard; otherwise his display was good.
