MANUNUI CLUB.
The Manunui Homing Pigeon Club continued its programme with a race from Pnekakariki, for a trophy donated by Mr. Slipper. The birds were liberated by the station master at 10.6, and the winning bird homed to Mr. J. Langwell's loft, covering the distance in 3h 3Gm 535. Results :
Mr. J. Langwell's Rippling, 1188.6 yds per minute 1 Mr. .T. Whittaker's Cynthia N., 1187.2 yds 2 Mr. D. Wilson's Dark Star, 1185.8 yds .. 3 Also flew: Mr. R. Patterson's Homeward, 1185.3yd5; Mr. D. Andrew's Ramona, 1085.7yd5; Mr. J. Davis' Boomerang, 1071.2yd5. Next Saturday the club will fly from Newmarket, for a trophy donated by Mr. Steel.
