INDOOR BOWLING.

PRIZE PRESENTATION NIGHT. A meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association was held to select the trophies and fix the date of the presentations, and deeide the form that the closing •function would'take. As this was the first occasion on which the delegates from the Loyal Chevalier Manchester Unity 1.0.0.P., Brothers • Norris and Smith, had taken a seat on the management committee, they were heartily welcomed by the president, Bro. Harris, who assured them that their hearty co-operation and enthusiasm would be much appreciated in the coming season. The affiliation of the M.U. 1.0.0. E. would make the sixth of the large friendly societies linked up with the association, arid- would bring the number playing indoor bowls well up to the 3000 mark, which was a very satisfactory result of three years' work.

It was decided to hold the prize night on Saturday, November 9, in the Ponsonby Drill Hall, play to commence at S p.m., but all names of players to be in by 7.45. It will take the- form of a progressive fours bowls evening. Approximately thirty rinks will be available, and an open invitation is extended to all indoor and outdoor bowlers (in club colours please), and anyone interested in indoor sport. There is room for 200 players and 200 spectators also. During the evening the various trophies won during the season will be presented.
