BUSINESS MAN'S DEATH.
ME. ELON BOND.
An old resident of the Auckland district, Mr. Elon Bond, died to-day, aged 78 years, at his ; home, Market Road, Kenmera.' As he \vas one of the partners in the firm of Bond and Bond, general merchants of Auckland, the Hag floated! at half-mast over the warehouse to-day. Mr. Bond'came to New Zealand with; his parents in 1866 by the ship Liverpool, and the family settled for someyears at the Wade. Later some of the sons came to Auckland and founded the firm of Bond and Bell, which afterwards became Bond and Bond upon the withdrawal of Mr. Bell.
Deceased is survived by his wife and three children, Messrs. Elbii and Percy Bond, and-Miss-Bond. ,
