DRIEST PERIOD FOR 60 YEAR.S. (British Official Wireleee.) EUGBY, October 16. The first nine months of this year constituted the driest period known in Britain for the last CO years. , The rainfall over the British Isles in September was just less than half the usual amount. In the last CO years there have only been four drier Septembers. Those of 1907 and 1010 were appreciably «o, and those of 1894 and 1895 were slightly more dry.
