"TOO UNSOPHISTICATED."
'Tis "C.L." himself who should "wake up." He appears to be altogether too unsophisticated to run a business. Evidently he omitted to mention the kind of business'he conducts. Therefore, instead of throwing all those applications into the "w.p.b.," he ought to have been glad that so many young women were cautious enough to ask what his business' is before sending in their names and addresses. Anonymous or vague advertisements before to-day have trapped careless girls. Even in the case of honourable advertisers ("C.L.," for instance) it is over the odds to expect decent men or women to givetheir history without first knowing to whom they write it. HUGH McHAIGH.
