BRIDGE EVENING.
A very:large bridge party, was-held in ; the; Officers' Club ■ last relieve the distress among, the disabled soldiers. It was organised, by'th& committee of the Officers' Club and the emergency committee of the'Ex-Service .Women's Association. During < the evening Colonel Hardie Neil welcomed , the' guests, and paid tribute to the work of the ExService Women's Association. An account of the dire conditions existing among tho partially,-disabled soldiers and their dependents at the. present time, was given by Mrs. Basil Cadoux, a member of the association. Stationary bridge was played and the billiard' tables were also in use. The workers on the committee of the Ex-Service Women's Association, who had organised the evening, were Mrs. Margaret Wrigley (convener), Mrs. Basil Cadoux, Mrs. Hogg, Mrs. Blampied and- Miss Mendelsohn.
