Particulars of train arrangements and the issue of holiday excursion tickets to Whanoarei and Mair in connection with the Northland Trotting Club's meeting on 19th instant are advertised in tnis issue. An avalanche of letters has descended upon Mr. H. Spear, of Wellington, as tne result of the claim he is making to a fortune of £20,000,000 and a number or castles in the British Isles. One correspondent wrote:—"lt is hard to explain in writing, but I ieel I am a very near relation oi the family."
