ELLERSUE TRACK WORK.
A QUIET MOUSING,
Beautiful weather prevailed for train ing work at Ellershe this moraine N« 2 grass track, with the flags about Bft out, was open for fast work, and W4I £ excellent order. Some two-year-old. were also galloped on the outside of th. course proper. " The Course Proper. r Thais and Speak Out ran three furlongs from the mile barrier to the fire furlong post, in 40 3-ss. They war* together most of the way. Tremetus and Thespis were given * similar task, and after running the first two furlongs in 24 l-ss, they completed the three furlongs in 38s. Both thew youngsters shaped well. No. 2 Grass. Eager Rose was the first to work on this track, and was not doing her beet to run six furlongs in 1.23 2-5. King Emerald was allotted a round and after commencing slowly ran the last six furlongs in 1.22 2-5. Pntutahi and Brampton were together at the end of five furlongs in 1.10 3-5. Bizarro went very evenly over' a round, which he left'behind in 1.53 3.5 Corinax was going better than Gemlight at the end of six furlongs in 1.18 Neil was timed to run the last flv* furlongs of his work in 1.9 1-5.
Diamond Queen ran home from the three-furlong peg in 40 4-ss/.and did it nicely. Roman Pearl and Spring Abbey were not doing their best to run half a mile in 575. Some Lady completed a six-furlon* task in 1.23. * Royal Lover took 54 3-5s to get to th# end of four furlongs. Measurer and Sir Archie sprinted half a mile in 51s. Measurer, who was on the outside, appeared to be going th« better of the pair at the finish. Without being_ extended, Onewhero ran six furlongs in 1.26 3-5, and Luxurious covered a similar distance in 1.24 2-5. Over the Big Fences. Importer (J. Sharkey) gave a firstclass display while jumping the steeplechase fences on the flaiTtwice.
