WANGANUI TRAMWAYS.
ENGINEER RESIGNS POST. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, this day. The City Council to-night received the resignation of Mr. A. E. Cheal, tramway engineer. It will take effect from October 22. He was granted three months' leave of absence. It is anticipated that the report of Mr. Cable, Wellington tramways manager, on the tramway system will be available within three weeks. In the meantime - r. Deem, the city engineer, will act in an advisory position.
