Alan Godfrey, 7, 'Amy Street, Ellerslie, age 12, was awarded the first prize, Jim Boaden, Millar Street, Ellerslie, age 13, the second, and Maureen Miirtagh, Shakespeare Road, Milford, age 15, the third. The fourth and fifth prizes went to Peggy Brockbank, Carrington Road, Point Chevalier, age 12, and Clifford Blackwell, 34, Landscape Road, Epsom, age 11','respectively. Certificates as follows: —BLUE: lan Stephenson, Coralie Blackwell, Dorothy Jones, Ronald Whittleston. PINK: Jack Culpan, Edna Davidson, Gwen Evans, Vera Liversedge, Doris Brown, Oswald Utting, Stanley Utting. GREEN: Loma Ross, Emily Fugill, Evelyn Krause, Eila Boagey, Jack Parkinson, Sydney Davidson. YELLOW: A one-point certificate went to all competitors who contributed correct solutions.
