Golden Age. —The crosscut is now out 3Gft to cut Fox's leader, and a very favourable class of country rock is being met with. Lucky Shot.—The stope above the No. 2 winze has been extended 10ft. The reef here shows' a width of 4ft, and the ore is very heavily mineralised, showing a high percentage of antimony and blend. The drive north'of No. "2 winze at the intermediate level has been extended Bft. The reef has again made a splice, each portion being about 12in wide. Coarse colours of gold are to be seen in the ore broken out from both portions. New Waiotahi. —During ttie week the contractors have advanced the crosscut, to intersect the Caledonia No. 2 reef, a further distance of 22f", thus making the total distance driven by them 47ft. The channel of • country being passed through is favourable for the existence of reef leaders with numerous heads traversing through. Since we put in the air pipes the ventilation is good. Ocidental Una. —During the week work has been confined to the extension of No. 4 stope, south-east of shaft and stope on hangingwall leader north-west of shaft. Stope south-east of shaft: The stockwork formation will average about 7ft wide, composed of quartz stringers and country rock. The quartz looks well, and carries excellent mineral indications for gold, and during the week colours of gold were to be seen. Stope hangingwall leader northwest of shaft: This leader will average about 2in wide of well mineralised quartz, aud when broken showed good colours of gold. .
