ATHLETICS.
VAUXHALL SCHOOL RACE,
The Vauxhall School cross-country race, decided on Saturday, over a mile and a half course, resulted as follows: —R. Josling (40sec), time lOmin Sis, 1; Jack Bennett (lOOsec), llmin 14sec, 2; N. Josling (105 sec), llmin l7sec, 3.
In conjunction with the race there was a competition between "Houses" at the school. Fred Gill's team was awarded first place with 498 points, second place went to B. Wallace's team with 71 points, and B. Massey's team Was third with 410 points. The race carried the Kohn Cup and medals were given for first and second past the post by Messrs. Samson add Mason. Fastest time was registered by Chambers.
