SHEEPBREEDERS CONFER.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Differences of opinion between sheep breeders seem likely to endanger the proposed scheme for regulation of export of sheep from the Dominion. Designed originally to maintain the prestige of the Dominion as a source of supply of stud sheep, the scheme proposed inspection and registration of export sheep before they were, permitted to leave the country. Fees for the inspection were proposed at one stage to be divided between the Royal Society and the Breeders' Society concerned, as two inspectors would act in each instance. Following further negotiations difficulties developed over the scheme, and now the Royal Society has decided to withdraw and leave the breeders' societies to make their own arrangements.
