LATE NEWS.
"We should do something about our spelling. We have suffered under its tyranny just as our children are doino-. My own child reproved me for my pronunciation of a word the other day. My own scheme for improving matters is quite simjle. Let us revert to the good old Eli v.be'than- days and spell as we please." These remarks were addressed to members of the Palmerston Rotary Club by Dr. H. H. Alien.
