MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB.

The Maungakiekie Club played a bogey handicap at One Tree. Hill on Saturday. Following were the best cards returned : — L. Knigut (11), R. E. Craig (14), 1 up; J. F. Rankin ('J), E. A. Robb (15), A. K. Turner (15), all square; J. M. Elliott (11), 1 down.

Members of the Akarana Ladies Club held an enjoyable "At Home" yesterday, visitors beincr present from Maunjrakiekie, Glendowie. Otaliuhu, Pupuke and Papakura. A foursomes competition was played the visitors afterwards beincr entertained 'to afternoon tea? at the clubhouse. The trophies were won by Mrs. Gilniore and Mrs. Rushton. who returned a score of 101 23—78. Other scores were: Mrs. Mueller and Mrs. Cox. 108—28—80: Miss Jones and Miss P. Peet, 115—34—81. Mrs. Brook-Smith and Mrs. Masefield were awarded the consolation prize.

The play-off went to a further nine holes and was won on the last hole by Mr. and Mrs. I'avitt.
