YOUTH'S FINGER SHOT OFF.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. A youth named Ken Hamlin, of Aoroa, near Dargaville, was shooting hares yesterday afternoon when he slipped in a drain. The gun was dirtied, and while he was wiping the barrel with his liand- ' kerchief it accidentally went off and blew the index finger of his left hand away. He was taken to Te Kopuru Hospital.
