AUCKLAND AEROPLANES.

RETURNING ON TUESDAY. WEEK-END IN HASTINGS. (By Telegraph— Own Correspondent.) MASTERTON, this day. The Auckland airmen were greatly pleased with the Masterton landingground. They left Rongatai aerodrome, Wellington, at 7.15 a.m. and reached Martinborough at 8 a.m., making a stay of five minutes. Then they came on to Masterton, reaching here at 5.25. In replying to the welcome, Mr. K. Hackett said the Wairarapa was ideal flying country. The visitors were iiioto°ed to town, where they had breakfast, and returned to the ground at 9.30. Major Cowper then did a number of "stunts," rising to the altitude of 2000 ft. They left at 10.25, and expected to reach Hastings at noon, the airline distance being 110 miles. They will stay the week-end at Hastings, and leave on Monday for Gisborne, and expect to be back In Auckland on Tuesday, completirg their tour of the North Island. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
