WAR MEMORIAL CARILLON.
■ —» BELLS EXPECTED IN NEW YEAR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Regarding the Wellington war memorial carillon, the chairman of the committee, Mr. H. D. Bennett, stated today that the North-East Exhibition at Newcastle-on-Tyne (England) was closing at the end .of this month, which would mean that the carillon would then be and restored to the care of its manufacturers, Messrs. Gillet and Johnson, of Croydon. He assumed that the bells would reach New Zealand earlv in the new year. . *
