TE AWAMUTU CLUB.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) i TE ATVAMUTU, Friday. A discussion decision of the Waipa Cricket Association to start all championship matches this season at 10.30 a.m., and finish at 3.80 p.m., and confine them to oneday matches, took place at the annual meeting of the Te Awaniutu Cricket Club last night. This is quite unsuitable to Te Awarnutu Club members, though admittedly very convenient to country clubs, with, so many players engaged in dairying. .The club decided not to affiliate this season unless more suitable hours are agreed to, it being pointed out that each country club is only inconvenienced once in seven or eight weeks. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Sir. C. G. Downs; president, Mr. F. E. Loomb: vice-presidents. Messrs. G. M. Blair, D Bockett, H. de L. Peake, C. W. Rickit, M. W. Muir, It G. Hodges, R. A. Coyne. K. C. Rickit: delegates to Waipa Association, Messrs. M. Barnet and J. Philp; club captain, Mr. H. K. Smith; vice-cap-tain. Mr. J. Philp; secretary, Mr. H. T Haselden ; treasurer, Mr. R. H. Lord.
